At this year's 11th Croatian camping convention, organized by the Croatian Camping Association (Kamping udruženje Hrvatska – KUH), held from November 13 – 15, 2017 in Šibenik, Jadranka kampovi won several awards.
As you may already know, Jadranka kampovi operates campsites Čikat, Baldarin, Bijar and Slatina on the islands of Lošinj and Cres. Camping tourism and its development are one of the most important elements of the Croatian Tourism Development Strategy lasting until 2020 and Jadranka kampovi have been involved in creating more than 550,000 overnight stays, a growth of several percent each year, promoting Croatia, Cres and Lošinj as top camping destinations.
The selection criteria for the awards were determined according to questionnaires issued by the Croatian Camping Union and on-site visits by the Croatian Auto Club, Croatian Camping Association and the Croatian Chamber of Economy representatives.
This year, Camping Slatina and Camping Čikat again won the Croatian Camping Association’s and the Croatian Auto Club’s award, ranking them among the 50 campsites in Croatia branded as “Croatia's Best Campsites”. However, this year's addition is the winning of the same award by Baldarin Campsite, proof of the good long-term effort and investment in that naturist camp. In addition, for the seventh consecutive year, Camping Čikat in Mali Lošinj was the winner of the “Naj kamp” (“the best campsite”) award in the larger Kvarner campsites category, awarded by the most eminent Slovenian web portal Avtokampi, sponsored by the Slovenian company Adria. More than 42,000 guests have participated in the selection process, choosing the best campsites in Croatia and Slovenia in several categories, and Camping Čikat was the one to be declared the best among some very strong competitors.
Also, this year Camp Čikat won the ‘DCC Europreis’ award and in 2018 will be included in one of the most famous German camping guides. Camping Club DCC (Deutcher Camping Club) is the largest association in Germany which promotes camp tourism and through the ‘DCC Europreis’ award highlights camps where their members can experience quality, identity, lifestyle and a positive spirit.
Finally, from all of the above it is evident that the numerous awards and increase in the number of overnight stays are a result of the systematic investment of the Jadranka Group in raising the quality at all levels and investment in environmental protection of the hotels and campsites of the Jadranka Group.
