Many campers can’t wait to go on their holidays surrounded by nature all year. The Adriatic coast and the island of Cres are ideal for a holiday in unforgettable surroundings. In addition to its excellent offer of camping and supporting services and two magnificent beaches within our Camp Slatina,Cres island beaches and bays offer many beautiful holiday experiences. Practically everyone will find a beach on Cres to their liking and the beaches we present on this page are among the best on the island of Cres and will surely complete your Camping on the Adriatic experience.

Please note that there are separate beaches for dogs and showers for them in Camp Slatina as part of the ‘Camping cum cane’ (Camping with dogs) project.

Valun Beach, Valun

The small fishermen’s village of Valun has two wonderful pebbly beaches. The beach is characterized by thick surrounding pine forest, a beautiful bare beach and crystal clear sea. The village offers anything you may need for a pleasant daylong stay on the beach – a store, a restaurant and a bar. Next to the two larger beaches are numerous isolated little bays that you can explore in a kayak or have a romantic swim with your loved one.

Sv. Ivan Beach, Lubenice

Many people say this is the most beautiful beach on the island of Cres, located beneath the village of Lubenice perched on a steep cliff and providing a magnificent view of the white sandy beach. The beach can be reached on foot from Lubenice or by boat on your own or within an organized tour, for which you may inquire at the reception of Camp Slatina. As the beach is not easily accessible, you can expect few swimmers, which makes it ideal to enjoy the nature.
The benefits of the beach beneath Lubenice include its isolation, intact nature and aromas of Mediterranean vegetation. According to the German magazine Bild, it is the 15th most beautiful beach in the world, so make sure you visit.

Slatina Beach, Martinšćica

The beach Slatina is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cres. The beach has all necessary facilities, near the beach is a restaurant, a diving center, boats and kayaks for rent, and water aerobics sessions are available several times a week.

Tiha Beach, Martinšćica

Tiha Beach is located in Tiha Bay within Camp Slatina and is characterized by a wonderful long pebbly bay surrounded by a forest where you can find shade in hot summer months. The beach is mostly frequented by families with small children because of the shade, but also all other guests who like swimming and nature. There is also a berth for smaller boats in the bay.

Meli Beach, Plat

If you make some inquiries or if you are somewhat of an adventurer looking for isolated beaches, you will surely find the Meli Beach in the south part of the island of Cres near Ustrine. You will find very few swimmers, intact nature, turquoise blue sea and a long sandy beach. The beach is an ideal spot for playing on sand in shallow water because it will take you a few minutes to reach a depth where you can no longer walk. The beach is isolated and thus less known, but you need to be in good shape or have a boat to get there.

Beli Beach, Beli

The village of Beli has a natural pebble beach and a small harbor. There are no facilities on the beach so you need to take everything you need for a pleasant day on the beach.
