October 23, 2022 marked the opening of Camp Čikat's winter holiday season following on from the most succesful summer season ever. This makes the ninth year in a row that the campsite has opened its doors to guests for the whole year.
The decision to start offering winter season holidays - and as a result year-long opeing - was taken in 2014. At that time it was a bit of a leap of faith - faith in the combination of Lošinj's mild microclimate and the camp staff's experience, capabilities and determination to make the project succeed. Combined with investment into the camp's facilities and infrastructure, the leap of faith has been justified. Year after year a respectable number of overnight stays has been achieved making the project financially viable set for more success in the future.
This year during the winter months, a number of traditional special offers are available, such as Winter camping or Long stay or longer stays in mobile homes at special prices. Popular programs during the Christmas and New Year holidays are also on offer featuring an organized New Year's Eve party with dinner in the camp.
The advantages of taking a winter holiday break at Camp Čikat during the winter months include experiencing the island in a relaxed atmosphere without crowds and enjoying cycling, hiking, sun and pleasant temperatures. Guest can also use the Aquapark Čikat gym as well as the indoor swimming pool in the
Punta hotel available at a special price for camp guests, with prior notice. Find out more about

Winter roadworks
If you intend to visit us this winter, please keep in mind that in the area of the Town of Mali Lošinj there are currently road works on various sections near or on the way to your favourite campsite.
These are located on the following sections of road:
- from Kovčanje to Artatore
- from the turn for Lidl to the Garden of Fine Scents
- near Veli Lošinj - from the Punta hotel to the entrance to the village of Valdarke)
Ongoing works are being carried out to the water supply network as part of the largest infrastructure project on the Cres-Lošinj archipelago, which will improve the water and communal infrastructure of Cres, Martinšćica, Nerezine, Mali and Veli Lošinj.
We apologize to our guests for any disruption and ask for your patience and understanding.
However, rest assured that the road to the camp is open and passable, but do drive carefully, pay attention to signs and adjust your speed to the road conditions.
