At this year's 13th Croatian Camping Congress, organized by the Croatian Camping Union (KUH) at Sveti Martin na Muri, Jadranka kampovi d.o.o. once again, almost traditionally, won several awards, which serves as confirmation of a successfully completed tourist season.
The Baldarin, Slatina and Čikat campsites have once again been awarded the Croatia's Best Campsites quality label, this time for 2020. This award is awarded by the Croatian Camping Union (KUH). Camp Čikat additionally won the 2019 InovaCamp Award (also awarded by KUH) for its Safe Camping project. In addition to these two awards, Camp Čikat also won the 2019 Najkampi Adria award in the category of large campsites in Kvarner for the ninth year in a row. All these awards serve as confirmation of a ‘job well done’ as well as show that we have chosen the right strategies for our campsites. They also represent a pledge for the future and commit us to keep this level of quality at the level of the entire group, but also to strive to raise it even further through various investment projects.
The congress itself was organized in two parts, a professional part and an exhibition/fair part in which all the participants (approx. 400) had a chance to exchange their experiences about the tourist season that has just ended and also to see the newest mobile home and glamping tent models produced by domestic manufacturers. The professional part featured a number of interesting lectures, most notably the presentation of the results of the Tomas survey that was performed this year on a sample of 1500 campers at 50 campsites in 7 coastal counties and some continental cities by the Institute for Tourism.
The awards received serve as motivation and encouragement for future efforts, which is confirmed by the fact that, although 3 of our camps are closed (Baldarin, Bijar and Slatina), Camp Čikat has continued year-round operation and its winter tourism program for the sixth year in a row. Our
winter tourism program has never been richer, both during the Advent season and during other winter months.
