In order to receive the permission to increase the rating to 4 stars, the Campsite Čikat has passed through a very strict and demanding process which included an inspection of the campsite and an official inquiry by the Ministry. Conditions for getting the four star rating were determined by the Ministry of Tourism and very clearly and strictly list the quantitative and qualitative standards for upgrading. The standards are very similar to the ones throughout Europe. With this permission the Campsite Čikat has become the first campsite on Lošinj Island and one of only five campsites in the Kvarner region which have such a high rating of 4 stars, considering this type of camping tourism. 

“We are extremely proud of this permission and the upgrade to 4 stars, as they are recognition of sorts that what we do is delivering results. This is the outcome of systematic investments and the expansion of the campsite’s offer, of which the most significant segment is the aquapark which opened in July and has been working above expectations. We are very pleased by the fact that guests have recognized our efforts, as demonstrated by the numbers, according to which the campsite constantly records an increase in arrivals and overnight stays of domestic and foreign guests,” said Đulio Delise, CEO of the company.

As a reminder, at the beginning of July the first water park was opened in the Campsite Čikat and on the islands. It spreads over 6300 m2, has a water surface of 2400 m2 with three swimming pools divided into five depth sectors, a large swimming pool and three thematic recreational swimming pools of various depth and with diverse water attractions. From its opening day till today, the aquapark is full to maximum capacity every day.
